I’m Sarah, the person behind this little Mandurah business. I love seeing the potential in overlooked pieces and finding a new direction for them through colour, detail and thoughtful design.

This is what I love about Blake & Taylor paint. It goes on so easily – and on a warm, sunny day, I was onto the second coat just 10 minutes later.
I’m using Sage on this buffet and will finish it with a walnut top. There’s still more to do, but I’m going for a modern farmhouse vibe.

Decoupage is such a lovely way to add personality and detail to a piece of furniture – and I’m often asked how I apply it.
The trick is to work gradually. Apply your decoupage gel, position and smooth the paper, then keep adding gel and gently working the paper as you go.
It can take a little patience, but watching the design come together is all part of the fun.
