One of those little bathroom details that’s worth getting right from the start!

Your basin style can completely change where your vanity benchtop sits.
Around 900mm to the top of the basin is a good rule of thumb… but it’s not a hard rule.
Consider who’s using the bathroom and what will be comfortable for them.

One of the things I love most about working in a showroom is hearing what really matters to people when they’re designing their bathroom.

This question comes up almost everyday!

There’s no clear winner!
Some people love the statement look of an above counter basin while others like an undermount as it’s minimal and in their eyes is easier to clean.

Neither is better, they’re just different!

A vanity in the corner is incredible common, BUT it’s a detail that needs to be planned out during the design stage. Each vanity is constructed differently and without clearance against the wall, it can lead to this… rubbing against the wall.

The good news? It’s really easy to avoid with a little forward planning!

Hopefully this has helped someone out there planning for their bathroom renovation.

Hiding the plumbing in the centre means you’re not opening your drawers to exposed pipes everyday.

Every vanity is different though.
Depending on the size of the vanity and where your basin sits, the internal layout can change to make sure you’re getting the best use of your storage rather than wasting valuable drawer space.

It’s one of those things people don’t often think about… but you’ll definitely appreciate once you’re living with it.

A lesson I learnt the hard and annoying way!!!

When choosing directional t-bar handles, don’t just look at how they look, check how they’re fixed.

If there only secured with a single screw, there’s a very VERY high chance they’ll spin on you. Trust me it is so annoying especially when you got a bank of drawers.

So… Look for a handle with a locating pin instead. It’s a tiny detail that can save you a lot of frustration later.

Hopefully this saves someone from making the same mistake I did!

Ever walked into a bathroom where everything just seems to line up perfectly??

Chances are, a lot of thought went into the tile set out.

Choosing the right tile size for your space and planning how it’ll be laid can make all the difference. It helps avoid awkward tile cuts and creates a bathroom that feels beautifully considered.

It’s always interesting to see the colours our customers choose!

While neutrals will always have their place, I’m loving seeing more people embrace colour in their bathroom!

There’s no right or wrong with this question.

It all depends on your storage needs, but if you’re short on space, they can make a huge difference while keeping everything neatly hidden away.

If your tiles, waterproofing and layout are still in good condition and works, I’d seriously consider upgrading your bathroom rather than fully renovating it.

With a budget of $5,000, I’d focus on the elements that have the biggest visual and practical impact.
