While cleaning up this old chest of drawers we found the classifieds from 1972 lining the drawers!! I wonder if $3/hour was a good rate back then?🤔

Remember this desk from our last post? We replicated parts, made it structurally sound again, replaced the leather and cleaned up the polish.

Sometimes parts are missing and need to be replaced. You can't just run down to Bunnings and grab a new one, so we make them!

Hidden under years of use we found gorgeous, shimmery maple on this chest of drawers.

Church pew to entrance table.
Our client wanted to this old pew that his dad had painted back in the 90's. We stripped off the old paint, refinished and added the glass top. It now has pride of place as his entrance table.
This is just one of the many ways we can help incorporate old furniture into modern homes.

Last week someone said "No-one wants the old brown furniture these days"... They do when it ends up looking like this!
A sand and a clear finish has brought back the natural beauty of this old Tritton's bookcase.

After an extended break from social media we're back!!
We'll be posting some of our favourites from last year starting with this mid-century click/clack suite.
Dropped during a move and held together with duct tape we repaired the breaks, refinished and re-upholstered.

We haven't posted for a while, but this one was so pretty we just had to share🧡. Our client has fond memories of this suite being in her grandfather's home and was very happy with the end result🥰

We love when there is a story behind our work. Our friends at Archer Glass wanted to preserve a piece of their history by upcycling their original work bench into their new boardroom table. It will now see years more use in a more comfortable setting!

Ready to relax? Everyone loves a comfy mid-century chair 🧡🧡 - These Don Televue chairs have been providing comfortable days for over 60 years and will now continue to do so for another 60.

🧡This dedication plaque is just another reason we love what we do. I'm sure that when George gifted this beautiful art deco cabinet to Elvie 82 years ago he never considered that many years later someone would love it just as much as she did. 🧡 Quality that is cared for really lasts - the cabinet was really well looked after and only came to us to repair a broken leg and touch up a few chips.
