Off to buy some different wood veneers this week to build some production quality versions of the ChargrBox.
Makerati
Promoting and selling real stuff that real people make. Encouraging sustainable products from socially responsible micro-enterprises.

We're just starting out ... but Makerati is going to be a place for makers / people who are making cool stuff, to share ideas, promote products, and ultimately sell them to the masses.
It's not production line stuff - it's things people are making by hand (even if their using modern tech to do it) that are generally sustainable/green, part of encouraging or developing social entrepreneurs, or helpful to people's lives.
It's a little grand I know, but hey, we are the Makerati :)

Prototype #3 made from 3mm MDF. We introduced mortise and tenon joints, as well as "nodes" on the tabs to create some more resistance in the joints. We also extended the bottom tabs to become feet and slip grooves on the cable holes to help stop cables slipping back inside the box. Still a little loose in some sections, so the next version will be from 4mm finished product timber ply, with some additional tabs to strengthen it overall.

Prototype #1. Original basic cardboard version of the ChargrBox. Seemed to work pretty well, so we moved onto making it a bit more real ...
