Something a little different....

Trying something new is always a bit overwhelming, and whilst far from perfect, it's surprising what can be created out of pallets & tree branches, a bit of stain & some white wax! The impact of this piece is hard to capture on camera, but it is definitely a statement and something a little different. Work from home just got even better with this Coastal desk makeover. Fresh white paint in the colour plaster by @madebypainthome and sealed with @cabotsanz Cabothane Clear. A good clean & polish of the drawer handles to show off that lovely brass and finally some drawer liner for that little pop of colour. What a difference a few modifications & a lick of paint can make 😍. This old Silky Oak piece was dark & and dated, so I removed some of the ornate mouldings & shelves, gave it a thorough clean & prep & painted it in a custom mixed light grey with mauve undertones. The top was refinished in a lovely coco stain & the original hardware was cleaned & sealed with an antique gold gilding wax. Green is so popular at the moment, and this colour "Bayleaf" by @porterspaints is divine 💚. A comprehensive makeover of this little meatsafe includes repairs, construction of new door inserts using ply, raffia & trim, clean, sand, prime, paint, whitewash, seal & wax.
