Recently completed Silk Thread Box for a client. Made from recycled cedar window frames. Stained with a dark oak colour and finished with a water based polyurethane.
Each drawers internal dimensions are matched to fit rows of silk thread cards. The timber is only 7mm in thickness to keep the piece light enough for the client to carry.
Quite a delicate piece and, as I discovered, much more difficult to create than items of thicker timber.

A tea tray finished today and constructed from old, used wood that was in a terrible way. It came out looking pretty good.

A branch fell of the tree in the backyard and had the perfect curve for a wooden spoon.....a really big wooden spoon.
