Join us for the third annual Sankofa Pinning Ceremony as we welcome VCU students, honor those who paved the way and commemorate the 75th anniversary of the desegregation of Richmond Professional Institute, one of VCU’s predecessor institutions.

Rooted in the Akan tradition, Sankofa reminds us to look to the past for wisdom as we build the future. The Sankofa Pinning Ceremony brings together students, alums, faculty and staff to celebrate new beginnings, honor those who paved the way and strengthen the connections that build community.💛🖤

We are overjoyed! This past weekend's VCU Volunteer Leadership Summit was nothing but empowering! Three of our committee members won awards!
This is life as an alumni! There are so many ways to give back! Thank you to our BAC Programs and Events Committee Chair , immediate past president and current VCU DMV Chapter President , and BAC Social Media Chair and VCU Richmond Alumni Southside Chair for continuing to pour back into a community that pour into them while a student at VCU.
