Yes, Yes and Yes. ELECTRONIC amplification is not generally allowed outdoors without permit, specifically in Zuccotti Park, thus your performance likely needs to be acoustic unless we're indoors (E-mail us with questions..a few people have used battery powered keyboards). There are a few exceptions..And if you feel that dressing up as Paul Ryan wrestling in a money-filled bloodbath whilst whistling the Star Spangled Banner, with no electronic amplification, accurately expresses you, and you're feeling it,
go for it. Yes! Remember the principles. The People Staged is an entertainment outlet for:
~ the participants of Occupy Wall Street
~ the police who are watching over us
~ the observers who may join us
~ and the world who are with us. As part of the ~OpenStage~ performances are encouraged to be no longer than 5 minutes. If you are interested in performing a longer set or have ideas for another activity on the stage, please contact us. We'll figure it out with you.

What does The People Staged Offer? We provide a performance venue to facilitate outreach for Occupy Wall Street and to facilitate that community camaraderie, as well as experiment with triangulation. We loan production equipment/time/energy for projects/performances hosted on the stage, and lend a spirit of positive inclusion and solidarity. What do we need? We could use help transporting stage equipment to functions, setting up the OpenStage, and ensuring the smooth flow of expression at events.
