We crafted this space around the idea of functional luxury:

The soft, rounded corners of the island and cabinetry break up rigid lines, making the kitchen feel approachable and fluid. For the countertops, we selected leathered Taj Mahal Quartzite. While it feels smooth and organic underhand, Taj Mahal is one of the hardest natural stones available, standing up effortlessly to heat, stains, and heavy use.

We paired the stone with engineered laminate cabinets for maximum durability against fading and impact, then finished the space with warm, soft brass accents for a subtle glint of sophistication.

The Family “Room” in our Sovereign House Residence is the culmination of three open, but distinct spaces all in a row, all overlooking the incredible New York skyline views.

We combined two apartments on this level and always felt the open plan with uninterrupted light and views would be the strongest design.

It was also critical for this to be a supremely comfortable space while still looking terrific. That’s where Italian furniture excels - in this case, the Westside Sofa from Poliform and the Möbius Chair from Giorgetti were the perfect tandem and the Glenn Magnum mirror from Cattelan Italia keep the views going and going and going…

We combined two apartments in this level and always felt the open plan with uninterrupted light and views would be the strongest design.

It was also critical for this terminal space to be supremely comfortable while still looking terrific. That’s where Italian furniture excels - in this case the Westside Sofa from Poliform and the Möbius Chair from Giorgetti did perfect double duty.

While we had always intended for the Living Area of our Sovereign House Residence to be open and inviting, it was hard to imagine just how perfectly these De Sede sofas would elevate our designs.

Paired with the Hug Swivel Chairs from Giorgetti and the large Harry ottoman from B&B Italia, the space can fit up to 12 people and feel intimate at the same time.

3 years since we met, 2 years of process from start to finish, 1 year of construction, all for this one moment, captured precisely as we’d imagined it, by the incomparable Scott Frances.

We had an incredible team of collaborators, but the star of this show was Panmela Alvim, who headed our Interiors Department for the Sovereign House Residence.

As I said, we don’t do this alone. Congratulations to everyone - clients, design partners, building trades, vendors - on an incredible achievement.

The first move we made on our Columbus Circle Residence was to open the kitchen and expand the threshold, thereby creating a strong connection between the two spaces.
