Central Barbeque is a longtime staple of the Memphis food circuit, and for good reason! We were honored and excited to help them furnish their newest location on Poplar in East Memphis, back in 2018. These tables are still pulling their weight today, and look good doing it!
The lineup of CityWood pieces at various Memphis locations gives the city a thru-line of community and connection, from Downtown to Collierville, and beyond!
In our humble opinion, this is one of the best reasons to choose CityWood for your business, your home, or whatever your heart desires. The quality work wrought from local wood, is just icing on the cake!
We can do anything, and we often do! Give us a call at (901) 206-3381 or stop by the shop, at your leisure. Looking forward to it!

The CityWood set of tables at Big Bill's Barbeque bring the warmth and ambiance to one of Memphis' best barbeques.
The food they serve up at Big Bill's is so good, you could eat it off the ground and make the ground look better for it. With the addition of CityWood's lineup of Sycamore and White Oak dining tables, it becomes a Memphis barbeque culinary revelry, not to be missed!
Go see our work and say hello to today!

This is one of the stand out projects from the early days, the Mango Desk. Commissioned in 2015 with a special emphasis on the natural edge of the mango slabs, which received extra attention from us to integrate the appealing natural shape of both slabs with the structure of the desk.

A beautiful blue epoxy river table that we built for the family of our most beloved employee, . When Jake found CityWood, he was looking for materials to further his own woodworking hobby. Being the enterprising man that he is, he wound up getting his supplies as well as a job for the summer. He started in the shop and it wasn't long before he took charge of the social media as well.
Jake and the team put many hours and a lot of care into this coffee table. That time paid off in a big way. It is something to be proud of and will likely be wowing visitors for decades to come.
We miss you Jake!

As we work on our roster of new projects to share, we wanted to recall one of the most satisfying residential builds we've had the privilege of doing.
These two tables are both made from the same sycamore tree taken from the Stax Memphis lot.
The grain on the end table maintains a continuous waterfall from the surface down the leg, and its sibling's book match forms a sort of pareidolic effect, resembling an Irish Setter or a deer. Some people see a bat!
The wood base is taken from the same slab of wood, inspired by a rot hole that was already present in the piece. To add rigidity, we flood coated them with Polymères Technologies Chill epoxy diamond fast. In between coats, we sanded away the epoxy build up, back to raw wood.
Once glued up, the inner crotch grain was blended and carved by Matthew to flow without interruption, and still maintain the spirit of effortless beauty we find in nature, even when its rotting away.
This was such a pleasure to see come alive, and a privilege to work again with our repeat customer, Jeff Baskin.
These are the kinds of builds and processes we will be sharing with you soon on .builds. Give us a follow over there as we grow and make connections in the Memphis community and beyond. Looking forward to it!
