Fountain Drums

Putting it all together. Torch burned snare with clear lacquer. Next step will be a sound test; can't wait to hear how it sounds. Never tried s-hoops so I'm curious about those as well

Drum badge making. In the past I've done electro etching with a power supply and vinegar but I had access to a laser etcher so I thought I'd give it a try. Comes out extremely clean and takes way less time. Although my old way of badge making is definitely more DIY esque.

Snare shell drilling. Definitely the scariest part, with very little room for error. I always triple check measuring before drilling. I like starting the holes with an awl for extra accuracy with the brad point bit.

Drum lug spacing. No layout mat for this one so I'm doing with a tape measure.

All hardware is in for the snare build. Gonna try s-hoops on this to see what they're about

Got some nice presents in the mail today. Hoops are on the way.

Two coats of paste wax gave the lacquer a bit of a deeper gloss and a smooth finish
