Getting rid of it is easy. Figuring out WHERE it should go? That’s where people get stuck.

Sell it. Donate it. Give it to someone who actually wants it. Recycle or dispose of it responsibly.

And sometimes? Give yourself permission to admit that it’s just junk. 😬

Not everything needs the perfect second home before you're allowed to let it go.

Downsizing gets a whole lot easier when every item doesn't require a complicated goodbye.

Respectfully that downsizing donation pile is not a boutique 😂😂

And don’t worry, that’s Dr. Pepper. Things haven’t gotten THAT out of hands here. 😅

This is what we want downsizing to feel like. 💙

Not rushed. Not overwhelming. Not like you're navigating a hundred decisions on your own.

Professional, thoughtful guidance from people who know what they're doing and who understand that downsizing is about a whole lot more than deciding what stays and what goes.

Thank you, C. Dana, for the incredibly kind words. We're pretty proud of the team behind them.

Thinking about downsizing but not sure where to begin? That's exactly where we come in.

Apparently everything is kinda chic these days... we definitely have thoughts. 👀

Your home may have been exactly right for the life you were living 10, 20, even 30 years ago.
But lives change.

Kids move out. Priorities shift. Maintenance gets old. Rooms stop getting used. And sometimes, all that extra space starts feeling more like responsibility than freedom.

Downsizing isn’t about admitting your home no longer works.

It’s about asking a better question:
Does this home still support the life I want to live now?

And if the answer is no? Maybe it’s time to imagine what could.

Still here?
Good. We’re going to get along just fine. 💙

Listen, we get it. Downsizing can be hard!
But you did put it on the donation pile for a reason… 😉

There comes a point when a home can start asking more of you than it gives back.

More space to clean.More things to maintain.More rooms that rarely get used.More responsibility than your current season of life requires.

Downsizing isn’t about giving up. It’s about choosing what fits now.

A home should support your life, not weigh it down.

The right-sized home can mean less maintenance, less clutter, and more freedom to spend your time and energy on the people, experiences, and things that matter most.

If you’ve been wondering whether your home still fits the life you’re living, it may be time to start that conversation. 🤍

Back to school looks a little different when you spent part of summer learning the family business. 😉

From client visits to paperwork and a little time behind the desk, we had a pretty great assistant tagging along with the New Thresholds team last week.

And apparently, she already has her sights set on the top job. 👀

We may be looking at the next generation of downsizing experts but, for now though… 4th grade. 😄

Happy back to school season everyone!! ✏️📚

Downsizing isn't a competition to see how little you can own.

It's about being more intentional with what stays.

What do you use?
What do you love?
What makes your everyday life easier?

The goal isn't an empty home. It's a home filled with the right things for the life you're living now.

And yes... an organized drawer at the end is pretty satisfying too. 😉
