"Storytime: When trying to save a buck ends up costing more! 🤦‍♂️💸Last year, I gave a client a full estimate to paint their house—ceilings, walls, and cabinets. The client decided to hire a separate 'specialist' company just for the cabinets, so I adjusted my price to do only the walls and ceilings.Fast forward to when I started working... Look at what I found! The cabinet painters taped the walls incorrectly, causing the paint to peel everywhere. Plus, they left a total mess on the moldings.To fix it, we had to scrape off the old, cracked caulking, prep everything right, and apply Sherwin-Williams 850A caulk for the flexibility that joint needs. A little light sanding, the right primer, and we saved the day!Moral of the story: Sometimes dividing the job just means paying twice. Leave it to the pros from the start! 💪🎨
