Meet Dipo and Mayra, the husband and wife team behind Shoku House, Albuquerque's newest restrurant and only Japanese brunch spot. Dipo's journey is one built on pure resilience and passion. In his own words, "I have the willingness to fail, but not the willingness to give up."
That mindset is exactly what drove him to spend nine months workshopping the Shoku House concept, determined to bring something Albuquerque had never seen before. With the unwavering support of his partner Mayra by his side, the two turned their vision into reality. The result is a stunning Japanese-inspired space on the West Side serving extra fluffy soufflé pancakes, tableside matcha, and lots of delicious japenese sandos. This is more than a restaurant, it's a love story, a dream realized, and a welcome addition to Albuquerque's food scene 💕

Heidi's journey started with a simple but powerful dream: to eat like everyone else.
As someone who needed to be gluten-free, she refused to settle for "good enough", she wanted baked goods that could truly compete with anything out there. So she got to work.
She began her journey at the South Valley Economical Development Center, building her craft and supplying local coffee shops with gluten-free goods before turning her dream into her own storefront.
New Mexico local, Heidi created this bakery to be a safe haven, a place where people with Celiac disease can walk in, breathe easy, and indulge without worry. Every single item here is 100% gluten-free and Celiac-safe because everyone deserves to enjoy food without fear.
From sweet to savory, there's something for everyone here. Craving something custom? Heidi's got you covered with cakes, cupcakes, and pies made just for you.
