Five things worth agreeing with your child before the first morning:

✅ Who collects them, and what happens if that person is late. Decide it now, so the answer is never worked out on the spot.
✅ The safe place to wait. Name it, and use the same one every time.
✅ The route, not just the destination. Walk it with them once.
✅ One number they know by heart. Not saved in a phone, known. A child who can recite a number can be helped by anybody. A child whose number is only in a phone cannot be helped once the phone is flat.
✅ The word that means come home now, no questions. Agree it, and never use it for anything else.

None of it takes longer than the drive to school.

🛡️ How its officers are vetted and trained. Who did the background check? What does an officer learn before their first shift, and what do they keep learning after it?

🛡️ Cover that follows the property's rhythm: check-in hours, event nights, the quiet hours after the bar closes.
🛡️ A report you actually receive, so the property knows what happened on its own compound.

Camera footage is how you find out what happened. An officer is how it stops happening.

CCTV matters. It deters, it documents, and when something goes wrong it is the record you will rely on. But a recording cannot step in, and it cannot make a judgement at half past two in the morning.

🛡️ A camera covers its angle. An officer walks the whole compound.
🛡️ A camera notices nothing. An officer notices the gate that should not be open and the vehicle that has passed three times.
🛡️ A camera reports in the morning. A patrol is the response happening now.

The strongest sites in Tobago run both: cameras for the record, officers and mobile patrols for the response. If your business currently runs on cameras alone, the second half of that sentence is worth a conversation.
