Each pillar combines to form rows and partition space

Formed piece [by] piece, each module stacked over another to metamorphosizes into structures that stand tall and interlocked solid

Using the principles of discrete assembly and rules based growth, sky is the limit.

Designed for disassembly and transformative reassembly,

Some behind the scenes action!

Last week we tested how the modules were shaping up
Each module is assembled from 8-12 cnc milled parts

We used a grasshopper script to help us organise the parts for milling to save as much wood as possible to minimise waste!

Jorakay Expert Pavilion

Get lost in the sculptural space
Made from over 1000 modules carefully crafted and assembled to create the towering panels over 6.5 metres high

Assembled piece by piece, the pavillion is designed to be reassembled after the 6 day event as furniture for public libraries and rural schools across the country!

EXPLORATORY DESIGN

Exploratory design is the foundation of SuperNatures. We work through ongoing experimentation with tools, materials, and fabrication processes, often in collaboration with partners and specialized manufacturers.

Rather than using nature as a visual reference, we study it as a system that informs structure, behavior, and making.

These investigations shape our approach and underpin all of our work, from objects and furniture to installations and spaces.

We are always open to collaborating with specialists, makers, and institutions exploring new ways of making together.

We create sculptural works shaped by natural systems and material, developed for brands, businesses, and spatial contexts.

Each piece begins as an exploration of form, identity, and expression, then translated into built objects that sit between art, design, and environment.
