From my heart.

This is for the makers. The writers, the painters, the photographers, the dancers, the poets. What you create matters — not just as an object, but as an act. There’s a concept called dharma art. It has nothing to do with religion. Everything to do with the state you bring to your work and how that travels, invisibly, into everything you make. Because when we make with love, that love is felt in what we make. A Tibetan monk named Chögyam Trungpa brought this idea to the West. A Japanese philosopher named Sōetsu Yanagi found it in the hands of unknown craftsmen making teacups. I find it every time I sit down to paint, and writing these words too. Imagine a world where more of us made things this way. From a truer place. With the purest motivation. With an open heart. With the intent of helping everyone that encounters what we make.
