The object isn’t to make art, It’s to be in that wonderful state which makes art inevitable.

5 Projects. 5 staircases. All in teakwood.
Looking back at the staircases we’ve designed over the years, solid Teakwood stands out as a constant. - Shaping junctions, celebrating details, where brass and mild steel quietly hold the edges.
Some staircases are driven by form, adapting to space.
Others emerge from pure material explorations.
What remains consistent is the attention to detail - and structure that holds it all together.

Recently completed in Aamby Valley, this house balances the rawness of exposed concrete with the warmth and cocooning quality of teak wood, grounded by polished balsalt floors. Set on a steeply sloping site, with a 16-meter drop, the architecture is shaped by the terrain and opens up to a dramatic, uninterrupted view of the lake.

One of the most beautiful aspects of a design practice is that it is never confined to the boundaries of design alone. It allows you to move fluidly across mediums and perspectives, exploring what the eye perceives and the mind interprets. Attention to detail—at the most granular level—deepens the richness of what we see and shapes how we bring a thought together to express it with clarity.
This photograph, taken from our studio on the 20th floor, captures a yearly ritual of the city. Season after season, people gather and quietly transform the beach below, reshaping its landscape. From this vantage point, the view continually draws the eye—inviting an understanding of scale, movement, and the collective imprint of the city on its terrain.
