The Closing Auction Session (CAS) catches so many traders off-guard because continuous trading ends at 3:15 PM, but the market isn't done with you yet!
Before your next intraday or options trade near market close, remember: ✅ Exit before 3:10 PM if you want to avoid the chaos. ❌ Don't assume your strike is safe just because the clock hit 3:15. ❌ Never chase spikes in the closing window out of FOMO.

📈 The way stock closing prices are calculated is changing.
Meet the Closing Auction Session (CAS).
From 3:15 PM to 3:35 PM, all buy and sell orders in eligible stocks will be pooled together and matched at one equilibrium price, replacing the old VWAP-based closing mechanism.
