Our firewood is naturally seasoned by keeping the processed logs (not the great big lengths of 'cord' wood which are very slow to dry) out in the wind and sun but covered from rain all through the summer. We monitor the moisture content to make doubly sure we only ever sell properly seasoned firewood.

General information
All the wood we use comes from forests which are being thinned as part of an overall management plan which improves their potential for timber quality, wildlife and aesthetic appeal. Also, remember that burning wood fuel is carbon neutral as, unlike oil and gas, it is renewable: as the trees, or new ones, grow again after being cut down they take in carbon dioxide and give out oxygen.
