This will be a brilliant opportunity to get 45 minutes of free, professional first aid training, with free car parking.

You will be taught how to provide CPR for babies, children and adults. You will also be shown how to use a defibrillator, should you ever need to? It’s so easy.

Please take an hour of your day on Saturday, 19 September to join us at the Civic Offices, Bexleyheath from 9am.

Please just TURN UP park around the back of the offices, in the car park. You will be very warmly welcomed and you may just learn to save a life of someone who is precious to you.

We are delighted to welcome the fundraising support of Radfield Home Care Bexley, Dartford & Sidcup as part of the Mayor of Bexley Charity Appeal 2026/27.

We are proud to be one of the Mayor of Bexley’s chosen charities for this year’s appeal, Bexley Together, which recognises the importance of local organisations, businesses and individuals coming together to strengthen the communities in which we live and work.

Funds raised through this campaign will help us continue our vital work across Bexley, supporting unpaid carers and the people they care for through our CQC-regulated services, as well as supporting older people through our dedicated volunteer befriending service.

Our CQC-regulated services provide practical and emotional support to unpaid carers and the people they care for. This can help carers to take a much-needed break from their caring responsibilities, while ensuring that the person they care for remains safe, supported and connected.

Separately, our volunteer befriending service supports older people who may be experiencing loneliness or social isolation. Through regular companionship and meaningful social connection, our volunteers help older people remain connected to their communities and improve their wellbeing.

As a new care provider serving Bexley, Dartford, Sidcup and surrounding areas, their decision to raise funds for a local charity supporting unpaid carers, the people they care for and older people demonstrates a welcome commitment to the wider community in which they operate.

Every contribution, regardless of size, can make a meaningful difference. Funds raised will help us continue providing essential support to local unpaid carers and the people they care for.

For some, it’s much more than a Xmas meal, it’s a chance to come together, feel valued and enjoy some Christmas cheer with others.

Each Xmas dinner is £15, and I’m asking friends and colleagues if they might consider sponsoring a dinner to help us make the day really special.

Ageing well is about more than staying active. It is about confidence, routine, connection, and feeling safe at home.

At Crossroads SEL our Ageing Well service supports older people who are finding daily life harder, while giving unpaid carers and families practical help, reassurance, and time to breathe.

A little regular support can help someone stay independent for longer, reduce pressure on unpaid carers, and prevent difficulties from escalating.

If you care for someone who needs extra support, you do not have to manage it alone.

Crossroads SEL is proud to be working in partnership with SELCE-South East London Community Energy to support adult and parent carers across Bexley with practical energy and home safety support.

This project is about more than advice. It is about helping unpaid carers keep their homes warmer, safer and more manageable while they continue providing vital care, often unseen and unpaid.
