Tomorrows forecast is 24°
I know…I’m not happy about it either 🤣
Summer will be here before you know it - so don’t forget that Double Ristretto serves the best iced coffees ❤️
Whether it’s with ice cream or without, there’s always fresh espresso shots and no sugar (❌🙅♀️) unless you ask for it.
I guess warmer weather on the way has an upside if there’s iced coffee on offer ☀️

When the mum of a very special little customer (who refers to you as the Hot Milo Lady 🥹) informs you that her son is now diabetic - you do what you gotta do!
I’ve been very privileged in my life to have never had any food allergies. It’s hard enough to navigate as an adult, let alone as a small child.
Having to explain to them that a lot of what they love to eat and drink is now off limits can be very hard. Missing out on friends birthday cakes or celebration cookies - or in this case having to miss out on the Wednesday ritual of hot chocolates with your classmates.
Well not on my watch!
So this morning I made 3 hot chocolates:
One with sugar free chocolate and almond milk (as it’s the milk with the lowest sugar content that I have)
One with sugar free chocolate and full cream milk (as that’s the milk he used to have before his diagnosis)
One with my normal chocolate and full cream milk (because you need to have a control to measure against)
Then of course I had to drink them all…for science obviously 😉

So last week while Jenny was skiving off at a spa and I was systematically washing every piece of white clothing I own out of sheer boredom - we turned 7 years old!
That is a milestone I could never have predicted.
It’s not to say that I started all those years ago with a view to close within a few years.
I just didn’t know how it was going to go - so I didn’t think that far ahead.
Maybe it’ll work, maybe it won’t - but it’ll be one hell of a ride while it lasts.
And it still is.
All these years later it is still the best thing I’ve ever done with my life and the best decision I ever made.
Not to mention that I have now officially worked longer for myself than I ever have for anyone else 😝
So cheers to 7 years!
And thank you all for being such a big part of everything that Double Ristretto is ❤️

Who else is keen for Sunday?!?! 🙋♀️
I’ve attached a little map below of the event layout for Hawkesbury Fest on Sunday.
In the bottom right corner - F13 - that’s me 💁♀️right near the Sports Zone and next to Community Culture (Peppercorn)
If you enter near the food trucks - don’t panic! I am at the other end near the market stalls.
Thanks again to Hawkesbury Events for putting together a cracker of a day by the river at Governor Phillip Park ❤️

Tomorrow is without a doubt the best day of the week ❤️
You’ll find us in our usual spot at Richmond Good Food Market from 8am tomorrow morning (ok probably a little earlier 🤣)
This week has been very long in some ways and gone super quick in others - taking time out to complete repairs is never something you want to do as a small business.
Apart from the obvious reasons as to why it’s a hard decision - the prevailing emotion for me is guilt.
I don’t want to let you guys down.
Especially when I know that in some cases seeing me during your day is what breaks up the monotony of a working week.
I love hearing about your days, sharing jokes and even chatting about the weather 🌦️
Customer service is really where my heart is (even though I can dish out some WICKED side eye on the regular 😉)
I appreciate your understanding as we navigate this necessary evil and look forward to being back on the road as soon as possible ❤️
