This year marks 20 years of NBLA.
Looking back through the archives, this photo brought back a few memories.
Back in 2008, we were working on a project in Toorak with no practical access from the street. The solution? Load a barge with trees, natural stone paving and a crane, then have it pushed down the Yarra by two tug boats.
One of those moments where you stop and think, how did this happen?
At the time it was all about getting the job done. Looking back now, it seems slightly crazy that this was a completely reasonable solution.
Over the years we’ve been lucky to be involved in projects that have taken us to some unexpected places and introduced us to some wonderful people. Many of our clients and architects have become great friends, and there’s nothing better than receiving photos years later of spaces being enjoyed by family and friends.
Feeling very grateful for the people, projects and opportunities that have shaped the last 20 years.
