Featured in Australian House & Garden this September, with our Amara homestead gracing the pages. Set among the light and landscape of Burradoo, this is a home shaped by French provincial warmth meeting Belgian minimalism, where limewashed render and warm cream cabinetry sit alongside considered joinery detail. Wide openings and soft, filtered light draw the Southern Highlands grounds inside at every turn. This feature offers a full look inside a project built on collaboration, from concept through to the final styling, alongside GUD Studio and Tasker Constructions.

Introducing Amara Homestead, Burradoo.

There is a particular kind of home that resists the urge to announce itself. No single style reference dominates, nor finish screams for attention, and yet every room feels unmistakably intentional. Amara is the embodiment of home. Cream rendered gables and Crittall glazing nod to the Normandy farmhouse typology, while inside, the palette softens to bone and putty and pale washed oak, anchored by Arabescato Vagli marble, with the kind of charcoal and burgundy movement you could study for a long time and still find something new. The hardware is dark bronze and feels sourced rather than specified. Nothing here is trying to be noticed. Everything belongs.

Built in the Southern Highlands with a client whose design conviction shaped every decision, and brought to life through a collaboration between GUD Studio, Tasker Constructions, and VICELLO, this is a project we are deeply proud to share.

Swipe to step inside.

Discussing what actually happens between concept and craft on the factory floor, with the lovely .

Before anything reaches our CNC machines, it goes through drafting, whether the concept comes from us or from a third party designer or architect. That drawing team has to know joinery the way a builder knows construction: technical to the millimeter. Weight, support, hinge specs, runner clearances, shadow lines.

This is the due diligence that gets skipped when a joiner is only brought in once the builder is six weeks from needing product on site. There’s no runway left for drafting to catch what it’s designed to catch, and that’s when rework and delays start. Pre-production has a lot of moving parts. This is just one of them. It’s also exactly why the timeline conversation matters as much as the design.

Mid century’s modern successor.

Curved brickwork meets warm timber cladding in a home that reinterprets the mid-century language as Australian modernism. Architecture by FJC Studio, with VICELLO involved from the earliest stages to ensure the joinery speaks the same language as the architecture.

Recently captured, Solas Residence, Mosman. Walnut joinery, travertine and Calacatta Viola marble are brought into alignment within a sculptural interior, where curved forms are used to support and soften linear stone elements.

In spaces like this, joinery must be resolved in direct response to the architecture, which made capturing the project a natural extension of the design intent.

Indoor and outdoor spaces connect through considered detailing, allowing the kitchen, living areas and outdoor zones to flow as one.

Anchored by VICELLO joinery, the home supports a coastal way of living that feels relaxed, intentional and quietly refined.

Engaging your joiner early makes all the difference.

Across Sydney, we’re seeing increasingly custom homes, with architects and interior designers pushing boundaries and designing spaces that are more creative, layered, and joinery-led. Many of these homes are no longer defined by a single kitchen moment, but by considered joinery throughout.

At Salt House, interior designer Naz spent months shaping the spaces you see here. As the design evolves, joinery becomes integral across multiple zones - as part of the architecture itself. When this happens, time matters. Detailing, coordination, and refinement cannot be rushed if the outcome is to feel this resolved.

For homes where joinery plays a defining role, early collaboration allows ideas to be tested, refined, and executed to the highest standard.
