Aniline leather. The best there is, and the easiest to ruin.

It’s full grain hide, dyed all the way through with nothing painted over the top. What you see and feel is the actual leather, which is why it’s the softest, most natural option you can buy, and why the top furniture makers charge what they do for it.

That open surface is also the catch. There’s no coating protecting it, so water, coffee and body oils soak straight in. One spill on a light aniline lounge can leave a mark that never comes out.

The answer is waterproofing. Protecting an aniline piece early keeps spills sitting on the surface instead of soaking in, and it’s the difference between a lounge that lasts 5 years and one that lasts 25.

Already marked or worn? If the leather is still structurally sound, we can usually bring it back, then protect it so it stays that way. Either way, it costs a fraction of replacing the piece.
